Anjette Lyles was a lively, successful restaurateur who was secretly obsessed with black magic and when relatives got in the way of what she wanted, she'd simply kill them. Two husbands, a mother-in-law and her young daughter all died of arsenic poisoning at her hands.
Meanwhile, Susan Grund's desires to be sexually desired by men and come across as a devoted, classy wife did not mix. When her husband Jimmy became aware of her actions, he soon died after being shot. She was jailed for it, but there's still a dispute as to who the perpetrator really is.
And Audrey Marie Hilley secretly used arsenic to kill her husband and her daughter barely escaped a similar fate. Marie soon was on the run – moved to a different area and used two different identities to cover up her tracks and remained undetected for years.
